Richard Clancy M.Ac., Lic. Ac.

I began my study of Chinese medicine quite accidentally. In 1988 while a student at UMass Amherst I was introduced to Tom Tam by my childhood friend Paul Fraser. Paul had a miraculous recovery after a health crisis and insisted I meet the man responsible.  Impressed, I went on to study Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and Tui Na with Tom. But most importantly meeting Tom was a philosophical experience that changed how I would forever look at the body and the nature of disease.

In 1994 Tom graciously offered to allow me to work in Chinatown doing Tui Na massage. I apprenticed to him, learned much of his system, and I continued to work and learn in Chinatown until 1998.

In 1995 we opened our first office in Norwell  (then called Integrative Physical Therapy),  and in 1998 we relocated to Grove St in Norwell. I went on to attend the New England School of Acupuncture. In 2016 we moved to 37 Derby St in Hingham and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had the honor to meet and assist the many people that have come to our clinic through the years.
